Banquets & Dinners

The Merchant Taylors Hall in the centre of one of Englands great cities – just the place for that special dinner or sumptuous banquet, or to celebrate your anniversary, society or company special occasion, just the place to make the event stand out in your guests’ minds.

The Small Hall, a more intimate room - seats up to 40 guests for a more relaxed lunch or dinner party - or for a pre dinner reception.

The Great Hall – seats up to 130 people in formal ‘high table with spurs’ layout or up to 120 on 12 round tables for a more relaxed occasion.

Poppy Caterers are just the people to provide fine dining in these wonderful historic surroundings - excellent food and fine wines; a convivial, enjoyable event. Whatever your aims they will help you create a successful occasion.

Poppy offer a number of bespoke and delicious fine dining options and banquet menus that can be tailored to your requirements.  They will also advise on how best to set up and decorate the tables and hall so that the atmosphere is just what you’re seeking.

Poppy will greet your guests when they arrive and can provide reception drinks and canapés to get the occasion underway. In the Spring and Summer the reception can be held in the Hall’s delightful lawns and gardens. 

After the meal you can just relax and enjoy the company and the Hall but if you’d like some entertainment Poppy can help you organise it.
